This tiny rice cook (compared to my old 12cup) takes up very little space and looks cute It can cook up to 6 cups which is just enough for our family of 3 My real test is to see if it can make chicken rice and spread the chicken paste mixture evenly in the rice It was able to by having even heating due to the solid steel pot This pot is heavy bottomed and retains heat very well
This is my first rice cooker and I was nervous about if I would like it or not or if I would screw up the rice. I used it the first time to make (canned) red beans and long grain white rice, and it came out perfectly done with the "white rice" preset! The presets really make it super easy to make perfectly cooked rice. No more stressing over a stovetop for me. I really like the oatmeal / cream color and it looks really nice. I think it would work well in a minimalist kitchen and can be left out on the counter, but I personally move it into an appliance cupboard. It is easy enough to move. The big win for this rice cooker is that the cook pot is uncoated stainless steel. It's heavy duty and ensures even heating, without added chemicals due to nonstick coating.
My husband has been on the hunt for a stainless steel NON-coated rice cooker for a while now. We have a smaller stainless rice cooker that has served us well for a long time, but our family is expanding. This one is great because we can cook more than just rice! My husband layered rice & water first, topped it with diced carrots and sliced chicken (raw), then broccoli florets in the steamer basket -- less than an hour later it was all cooked perfectly! All we had to do was plate and add the sauce! He is obsessed and has cooked dinner 3 nights this week...that alone gets this product 5 stars! Plus it looks beautiful on the counter! Love the neutral colors!
Because I have certain medical issues, I eat a LOT of white rice. Saying that, I have been looking for a quality rice cooker so I was looking forward to getting this one. I am happy to say I think it’s terrific. This comes well-packaged and secured. It comes with instructions, although it is pretty intuitive to use. It has a lot of nice features including timer functions so you can set up when you want to start cooking the rice and keeping it warm. It is fairly easy to use. There is a guide/lines inside the cooking part that tells you how much water to put in. I fill the pot up to the 2 line, and then add in 2 cups of jasmine rice. There is a menu button that cycles through different rice modes/choices. I pick the white rice option and then I press “start.” It’s that easy.

I cannot praise this enough. The stainless steel bowl is heavy duty. The steaming rack is not as heavy, but it is still nice. I don't know what kind of magic they use for the bowl, but it truly does not stick. I am so impressed. The rice comes out perfectly fluffy every time I make it. It takes 55 minutes to cook on the white rice setting and when finished, it automatically switches to the warm setting to keep it heated until ready for use. It comes with the typical rice cooker utensils - measuring cup, ladle, and rice paddle. The only issue I've had was when I took the stainless steel inner cover off to clean as they suggested before use. When placing it back on, I barely pushed it and the stainless steel disc did pop out of the plastic rim. I had to push it back in which took some effort to do and it's still not 100% in there, but it hasn't affected the use for me.
This rice cooker is surprisingly impressive. I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but it reminds me of one I saw in a big-box store, even down to the dial. I’ve used it a few times now, and it nails jasmine rice every time. I’m sure it’ll be just as good with basmati. It feels solid and durable, not cheap at all. Came with a great instruction booklet, too. I’m excited to try more recipes, like congee, and expect it to last for years. Highly recommend!
This was much larger than I anticipated. I love the perfectly sticky rice it makes though! I have wanted a rice maker for many years, so I was excited to find this one. It is priced pretty average for the options included. Settings are pretty easy to follow and set up was about 2 minutes. I love the clean color scheme and the overall aesthetics of the unit itself. It is functional and easy, I literally can begin and finish a pot of rice with extremely limited effort!
So I know nothing about cooking rice, so take this with a grain of salt (or rice haah). I used this rice cooker and my rice came out AMAZING ! HAha. It did all the work for me. I simply followed the " for X rice, use Y water" and Voila ! I dont know how anyone can mess this up now,. Im so excited to make a bunch of rice dishes now !
I recently traveled to Japan for the first time for a conference, and became a bit obsessed with the traditional "Japanese breakfast" (grilled fish, pickled veggies, rice and miso soup). I had it literally every day for the duration of my 10 day trip. The rice I was making since coming home didn't compare to the gorgeous little pearls I ate in Japan, so I wanted to try investing in a nice cooker. From the moment I popped the lid to fluff my first batch, I knew I had something special. Even the simple act of stirring the rice in the pot brought me back to my trip, the gorgeous tack of the rice in the bowl unlike anything I've made on my own. The flavor and texture are perfect, timeless. Despite my usually "American" diet, I've found myself making rice 3-4 days a week now... it's safe to say I'm a bit addicted to the rice this thing makes. It absolutely is worth the every penny
This rice cooker was easy to setup and use. It was an absolute lifesaver when we were remodeling our kitchen and didn't have access to the stove. Rice cooking was fast and effortless. The rice quality was consistent, not too dry, not too mushy, just the way I like it. Easy to clean and maintain.
1. Orchidblue 2.Surprisingly Impressed 3. I've been looking for a rice cooker with a stainless steel pot for a long time. I just cooked my first batch of rice (jasmine) tonight and not only did the rice turn out perfect, but there was absolutely no sticking and/or burning. (What??!!!!) I should note that it did take a little bit longer to cook than my last rice cooker (~10 min) and I used my own proportions for rice/water that I fine tuned using my last cooker. (For Jasmine rice I use 14oz rice (rinsed 3-4 times) to 18oz water and then let it rest an additional 10min after the cook cycle is done.) The bowl is super heavy and high quality 304SS - which I suspect has something to do with the lack of burning. The inside lid component is also 304SS. It seems well insulated and was easy to operate. My biggest complaints: 1) The color - I hate the cream color and there are currently no other options. Bah! 2) Lack of a handle or grips to easily carry it, which makes it more difficult for where I need to store it. Given that my gripes are fairly small, I don't believe they warrant a full star deduction - hence my 5 star rating. I have another product from this brand (soy milk maker) that has held up well over the years, so I expect to get decent longevity out of this product . Straight out of the box, in super impressed.
The rice cooker is perfect ! The pan inside is heavy and so good material !!! The seller is so nice , I had a problem with the lid and he helped me fast !!! Higher recommendation for that product !!!
The inner pot is stainless steel and non toxic, and the rice really does not stick to the pot. The rice comes out well made and stays warm for 12 hours after it’s cooked. They provided thoughtful and detailed instructions as well and the rice maker is pretty and does not take up too much space.
