Made delicious bbq!

This little indoor grill cooked my bbq to perfection! I cooked a cut up ribeye and it turned out soft and tender and the veggies roasted nicely, the grill brought out the delicious flavor in both the veggies and beef that only grilling can do. The most important thing to note is that I have never gotten these textures and flavors on my stovetop or oven, especially the meat. Believe me, i’ve tried. If you love bbq and live in an apartment, you need this. So impressed with this grill. The heat level makes perfect bbq. I can’t even explain it. My food was too good. Such a great grill for apartment living. The size is kind of small. I feel like this is perfect for two people. Any more and the 3rd person will just be waiting around for food. I didn’t use the hotpot for soup this time but the well comes in handy. I used it to put my veggies which got more steamed woth the lid on it. Lastly, one other great feature are the separate controls for the soup pot and grill plate. Cleaning it wasn’t terrible. I clean like any other grill.

Fast grill for Korean BBQ at home

My family enjoys eat at all-you-can eat Korean barbeques except for two things: (1) you end up eating way too much (2) it ends up costing an arm and a leg. I ordered the Joydeem electric grill with shabu hot pot to be able to enjoy KBBQ without the over-eating and to go easier on the wallet. The grill arrives nicely packaged and includes the grill itself, a glass lid for the hotpot, and a grill surface for meats. The surface is made of a non-stick coating so you need to be careful not to use metallic utensils lest you scratch the surface. Non-stick in this case means a reduced amount of sticking, but it's hard to eliminate it entirely, especially when using marinated, thinly sliced meats. The grill itself has two knobs to control the grill and the hotpot independently. I don't think I'll use the hotpot all that much, as it is is rather small, but could be fine if you are just making soup or hotpot for one or two. I put the grill power knob up to max, waited about 5 minutes, and measured the surface with an infrared thermometer at 318.3 degrees, definitely hot enough to grill meats and impressively fast.

It works!

This is very unique. Great for cooking soups or creating a "Hot POT" feel in your home. Great for 1-2 people to eat together. The grill is very easy to clean/use. The center is for soups. The grill side is for cooking your protein/Veggie choice and then the soup part could be also used for like Fondue or other meals. Recommend.

Perfect for a fun dinner

I love this hot pot/grill duo! It gives us options to either do the hot pot or grill so we can have different flavors, textures, whatever it is you’re aiming for. The operation is very simple and it heats up quickly. I also love that it’s easy to clean especially while hot - everything came off so easily. Such a good buy if you’re looking to change up your ar gone dinner experience

great hot pot for home cooking

Although the description states it's designed for 1-4 people, I believe it's best suited for a maximum of 3. The hot pot section is quite small, making it ideal for 1-2 people. It heats up quickly, which is a plus. I love combining BBQ and hot pot, and this setup makes it far more affordable than dining out at a restaurant. The quality of the pot is excellent, with no odor whatsoever. It has separate controls for the hot pot and BBQ, as well as a grease collector for the BBQ. My only complaint is that the grill area isn't detachable, so I have to be extra careful when cleaning it.

Really fun for dinner parties!

Okay, I admit it. I love dining configurations like this, where you have a pot that you can dip chopped food into and customize what you eat. It's like being in a Harry Potter movie (in potions class), which is probably why the young people in my life have turned out to really love this. It could easily be used for all kinds of dishes, not necessarily just Asian inspired food. This is well made, easy to clean, and a lot of fun to sit around while you share stories and food. Cheers!

Great Personal Hotpot/Grill device

This item is great. It's somewhat portable though you'll have to leave it stationary when using. It's great to bring to cookouts but this is really only a personal machine. It's not big enough to service large parties and that's clearly stated in the item description. I wouldn't imagine being able to feed Minnie Mouse with this and I think for people is an exaggeration. I think at most this device is only good for two people because the grill surface is so small. The heating wires underneath the grill don't extend very far so it's good that the girl is cast iron so the heat travels to the edges of the grill. It's fairly easy to clean as well and it's all electric so you may want to avoid any contact with water for this one.

Nice

This is really nice. We used it for gatherings so we can all cook how we want and get to hangout while cooking. It was easy to use and cooked well. It was easy to clean up and wipe down. We didn't have any complaints.

amazing grill

i love this indoor grill. I like that I can grill in the house AND make a pot of soup or chili. There is a little port that catches all the grease, it is super easy to clean and cook. I feel like super happy to be able to grill red meat like a man and make it look like its professionally cooked but its cooked by me! the quality of this electric grill is pretty awesome. I would totally recommend

This is very bulky, but that is to be expected from a hot pot of this size. It cooks very evenly and efficiently, and I can do a fancy ramen all in this one pot with the grill on the edges for my eggs and veggies. It is easy to use, but be aware that it is hard to store due to its size.

Japanese Hot Pot With A Side Of Gyoza

Having lived in Japan, nothing screams a cozy winter party like a hot pot. For years, I have wanted to get a hot pot of my own, but most setups are too large to be practical in an apartment. This hot pot setup does not have that problem. It is perfectly sized for my table and is small enough to easily store between uses. I was able to set it up in minutes, and it was so easy to wipe down after I am done cooking. It can also comfortably feed four people, which is perfect for a family (or a double date). Best of all, you also have a grill on the side, which is perfect for gyoza or extra meat, depending on your preferences.

Save money on hotpot/k bbq!

Fantastic home hotpot! This was the STAR of our New Year's party, everyone loved grilling up their own meats and veggies, and cooking them in the hot pot broth! Multifunctional and compact enough to sit securely on top of cabinets, this is a new favorite of ours and home hot pot night will be a regular occasion, you can count on that. The grill side maintains heat evenly and consistently, and meat cooks like a dream. The hotpot part boils broth at a steady and even rate. If I had any complaints it's that this thing has instructions that specifically ask that you not use too much soap and water to clean it, but as you can imagine, lots of butter and oil accumulate on the grill surface, and you can't exactly throw this thing in the sink, so using this means juggling cleaning it almost immediately after use for best results. It's a pain in the ass but not enough to knock off a star as this thing is multi-functional and great at what it does. One person found this helpful

I have always wanted one of these because I love the idea of being able to sit down while cooking. It’s good for personal use or I would say up to two people. It’s kind of on the small side but would make for a perfect little date night.

so we love our hot pots an decided to get one for at home. I did want a slightly bigger one for the grill portion but this one works. I do wish the temperature had more selections either the broth boils or its not warm enough it be nice to have a in between. the grill works really well but it didnt come with a catch for any fluid that may drip out the hole on the grill so be careful we found out after the sauce leaked onto the table. I ended up using some small bowls we had. All in all our movie nights are more fun with this and if we put a metal bowl in the hot pot area with just water under it we can melt chocolate or cheese for fondue lol.

Great Purchase

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson because he loves HotPot restaurant cooking, it’s his favorite choice. He is so excited to have his own, has made grocery lists and just made his first HotPot with it! Huge success!

Really cool

It’s a little small, I wish it were just a few inches bigger. But, one of the Best Buy’s I have made, and I have made way too many Amazon purchases. My family enjoyed an excellent night of home hibachi.
