This amazing little invent can do so many jobs all from the one appliance. It’s has a grill and steam inc function
This is a great kitchen addition and accessory, it works wonderfully after you get it figured out. There are no english instructions so it took a little playing to figure out the settings and cook times! It works great whether you are using it to cook with or keep a meal hot, steaming something or grilling! Each piece is very well made and the quality is quite good! Worth the value! Would make a great wedding, housewarming, or moving gift!
I really love the versatility of this little hot pot. The main reason I ordered it is for family style hot pot (where everyone has raw foods they can put in the pot of hot water and cook and eat to their taste). I grew up with these pots for having fun family hot pot meals to celebrate special occasions, like Chinese New Year. The other reason I wanted one was so that I could grill chicken outside in the backyard when I didn't want to heat up the kitchen. It works well for this. I like that the grill pops out so that I can easily was it in the sink, instead of having to worry about a cord.
I have a Japanese version of the Delonghi Electric kettle in a soft green color that I love so much and have used for years now. So when I saw this Joydeem electric hot pot in a very similar green color, I knew I had to order it and try it out. It works beautifully, with the steaming rack being my favorite. That's a feature I can't really replicate well with any of my other cooking appliances, and this one does it so well. The cooking surfaces are so smooth and easy to clean. It's very much like a type of multi-cooker, in that it can do so much. You can slow cook and grill, sauté and steam. And I'm so happy with how the green paired so beautifully with my Japanese tea kettle. Love it!
I have only had Shabu Shabu in restaurants and look forward to making it myself at home. This little cooker has so many uses, a steamer, a griddle, a sauce pan. The size is perfect for a small group dinner of 6 or less. You can use in the traditional manner and set it in the middle of the table and everyone can choose their meat or vegetables, or set it up as a buffet, or just keep it in the kitchen and remove the items to serving platters. The temperature control is Low, Med, High with an easy slide switch that allows you to tweak your cooking temperature. I do wish it had a range of temperature degrees, High is very hot and it takes a long time to cool down. I have unplugged the hot pot and just used it as a warmer. All of the pieces come apart for easy cleaning. The color and shape are both attractive and look great on your table or buffet.
This electric hot pot is awesome! I like that I can cook so many ways using this thing. I can use the regular bottom to cook and boil, the grill bottom to add grill marks to my food, and the steamer is great for certain veggies. It's a decent size and can be used for many types of foods. The green color is a nice shade and matches other green cooking items I have. This electric pot is so easy to use, our two teen girls like to use it too. Our 19 and 20 yr old live in a house together and they want one of these electric pots too. They said it's easier to use than using the stove top. I really like it and food tastes so yummy when made in this!
We used this twice so far, both of which served a party of 4 plus two toddler kids. The electric heating comes on quickly and was able to get the water boiling in just under 10 minutes, we fill it all the way to the top and let it evaporate and lose steam while the broth stock get simmered in the pot. There are a few hot spots so I don't think this is some even-heating distributed unit; but despite that being the case, the wide-open design allows for easy of stir and neutralizing the temperature differences. We also find it working very well to boil up quickly upon new cold items get thrown into the pot. Lastly, the coated surface does make it very easy to clean. I use a non-scuffing sponge scrub and was able to easily get everything off quickly; however, if I scrub quickly towards the corner it does send up a tall splash which could be an issue; so the trick is to go slow towards the corners. I think this pot can be rounded out a little more on the corners to get better tolerance to washing intricacies. Overall, not a bad pot, given the price, it's a bit steep, but it surely is a quick to heat-up and easy to clean and stow away pot. Highly recommended.
The element in this heats evenly, which is appreciated. We haven't liked the hot spots on other things we've had. So this is good for evenly heating things. The design is nice at the smaller size, and convenient for a "just us" dinner. Like the sliding control quite a bit. We have found our "perfect spot" that way for certain foods. Very nice way to cook.
Good size for 4-6 people. Easy to clean.
Very convenient and functional.
We have used it nonstop since we bought it no issues at all can pretty much cook anything in it. My husband made biscuits and yesterday and they turned out great.
very nice
Use a few times during the winter for hot pot and grill steaks. Nice product. Easy fit for two three persons meals.
